ADAS Calibration

Vehicle-specific calibration support for cameras, radar, sensors, and driver-assistance systems after qualifying repairs.

Vehicle-specific safety procedures

Repair the vehicle. Verify the systems that help protect it.

Calibration requirements depend on the vehicle, installed equipment, and repair performed. We begin by identifying the affected systems and reviewing current manufacturer procedures.

  • OEM procedure research
  • Pre- and post-scan support
  • Static calibration
  • Dynamic calibration
  • Camera, radar, and sensor aiming
  • Post-repair documentation

How it works

A documented path from repair to verification.

The required process may involve a static calibration, a dynamic road procedure, or both, depending on the vehicle and manufacturer instructions.

01

Identify systems

We review the year, make, model, equipment, warning lights, and repair history.

02

Research requirements

Current OEM information determines the required tools, conditions, procedures, and checks.

03

Calibrate

The specified static, dynamic, or combined procedure is performed for the affected system.

04

Verify & document

Required scans and system checks are completed, with the results documented for the repair file.

When calibration may be required

  • After collision or body repairs
  • After windshield or forward-camera work
  • After camera, radar, or sensor removal or replacement
  • After some wheel alignment or suspension work
  • When a warning light, diagnostic code, or OEM procedure requires it

Vehicle information comes first

The same repair does not trigger the same procedure on every vehicle. Send the VIN if available, along with the year, make, model, repair details, and photos of any warning messages.

Driver-assistance systems support the driver; they do not replace attentive driving. Final requirements are based on current manufacturer information and an inspection of the vehicle.

ADAS calibration questions

Why is the process different for each vehicle?

Manufacturers use different cameras, radar units, sensors, targets, scan tools, and procedures. Requirements may also change by model year, equipment, and the repair performed.

What is the difference between static and dynamic calibration?

Static calibration is performed in a controlled workspace with specified targets or equipment. Dynamic calibration uses a prescribed road procedure. Some vehicles require one method and others require both.

Can calibration requirements be confirmed from photos?

Photos help us understand the repair, but they are not enough to confirm every requirement. The vehicle details, installed systems, diagnostic information, and current OEM procedures must be reviewed.
